Lately I have such pride for my country. And I have my wonderful Fiance to thank for that. When we first got engaged our whole plan was to go into the Navy. He would fight and serve for this beautiful United States we live in, and I would be the lovely Navy wife, and sooner than later the crazy, loving, spontaneous mother.
Yesterday, I would say was a great day. We finally met with our Navy Recruiter. I made a phone call first thing in the morning, to set up an appointment for us, as soon as Dylan got out of school. The recruiter asked me some silly questions on the phone, like, how tall he is? Has he ever gotten any kind of driving tickets? In trouble with the law? Or drugs? luckily I knew all the answers, that made me feel pretty good.
This was the first time for me ever walking into a recruiters office and it just brought great joy to my life, seeing such young men and women wanting to serve the country they live in. Every time someone walked in, they would turn and face the beautiful United States flag, and say something that supports there love for serving our country. And just to know that this man, who is going to be my husband is willing to do so much for everyone else, brings such love, honor and enjoyment to my life.
The navy recruiter guy was really nice to us, Dylan had to fill out all this navy paper work, and take the practice ASVAB. I found it pretty hilarious when the recruiter told him, he needs to get the ASVAB for dummies, and come back in two weeks and take the real one. After all yesterday was a great day.
I am so proud to say I am going to be a Navy Wife.
